Episode 2: Introducing Omeka

Following this week’s public beta release of Omeka 0.9.0, we interview the Center for History and New Media‘s managing director Tom Scheinfeldt, and Director of Public Projects, Sharon Leon. Omeka is the collection publishing system that CHNM has been developed and designed for cultural institutions, enthusiasts, and educators. The second half of the episode takes you through the process of downloading and installing Omeka on your server.

At the start of this episode we mention the inaugural THATCamp that THATPodcast is co-sponsoring. It’s a barcamp-style digital humanities unconference that we’re hosting here at George Mason University. If you’re interested in.. THAT.. visit the THATCamp website. We’re happy to have reached over 100 subscribers after our first episode, and look forward to each monthly episode. Thanks for your support!
